Montclair Police Seek Information on Hit and Run


MONTCLAIR, NJ - Montclair police officers were dispatched to a hit and run motor vehicle collision on January 24 at 6:16 p.m. where a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Glenridge Ave and Pine Street. The pedestrian, 45 yoa female from Montclair, was struck by a motor vehicle while walking west on Glenridge Avenue.

The involved motor vehicle was traveling west on Glenridge Avnue and struck the pedestrian while attempting to make a left turn onto Pine Street. The motor vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival and was last observed traveling south on Pine Street from the intersection of Glenridge Avenue. The involved vehicle is described as a white sedan; unknown make, model, registration at this time.

The pedestrian was transported to University Hospital, Newark via ambulance. The pedestrian was treated for non-life threatening injuries and her condition is listed as “stable.”

This incident is currently being investigation by the Montclair Police Department’s Traffic Division and the Detective Bureau. There is no further information at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Montclair Police Department: 973-744-1234.
