Montclair OEM Declares State of Emergency PDF Print E-mail

The National Weather Service has a winter storm warning in effect with anticipated snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches or more. The Montclair Office of Emergency Management has declared a state of emergency, effective midnight tonight.

PLEASE NOTE: Parking on public streets during a snow event is prohibited (see ordinance 327-25). In addition, vehicles may not be parked in such as way that they extend into the roadway when it snows. The parking prohibition remains in effect after the snowfall has stopped and until the entire block of roadway has been cleared of snow. Daily overnight parking permits may not be used when streets are snow covered.

Residents and business owners are reminded that snow blowing and shoveling snow from walkways, driveways and sidewalks into the streets, plowing driveways into the streets, cleaning snow off of vehicles into the streets is prohibited per township ordinance 297-33. Code Enforcement officials will be out enforcing this ordinance.
