Montclair Unveils New Zipcar Service, Oct. 20

MONTCLAIR, NJ - Montclair Township is set to unveil a new commuting initiative geared toward making life easier for commuters, says a recent release. 

During a ribbon-cutting ceremony set to take place at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Montclair Mayor Robert Jackson and Zipcar Regional Vice President Nicole Mozeliak will introduce Zipcar to the community.

Zipcar, a car sharing network, has partnered with Township of Montclair to launch five Zipcar vehicles in the township.  The this celebration of sustainability will take place on the rooftop of the Crescent Deck parking lot located at 13 The Crescent.

The Zipcars available for reservation by the hour or by the day will be parked in easily accessible locations in Montclair Center at the Crescent Deck and at the Valley & Bloom residential/office/retail development. The vehicles are located in designated spots for convenient pick-up and drop-off and can be reserved on Zipcar’s mobile app (http://www.zipcar.com/mobile), online (http://www.zipcar.com/) or over the phone (1‑866‑4ZIPCAR1-866-494-7227).

According to their website, Zipcar says that they offer a car rental service to customers to experience driving cars by the hour or day with gas and insurance included.​ They boast that it allows users to rent over car ownership, that customers can choose from sedans, hybrids, vans.
