MONTCLAIR, NJ - North Jersey Water Supply Company (NJDWSC), the Township's water supplier, experienced a decrease in its residual chlorine on May 10. To counteract the drop, NJDWSC raised chlorine levels in the treatment process.

Chlorine levels were well below allowable levels at all times but higher than what customers are normally accustomed to.

NJDWSC water has met all regulatory parameters, however some taste and odor may still be experienced because of the higher chlorine residual levels.

We expect this condition to dissipate over the next day as township water returns to normal levels.
