Montclair's AAngelsNJ Founder Angelina Killane-Sims Among Several to be Honored...

AAngelsNJ, a Montclair based nonprofit, is proud to announce that its Founder and CEO, Angelina Killane-Sims, has been named to receive one of the "Save Our Nations Dream Maker 2017" awards on Saturday, September 16, 2017, 6 pm at Essex County College, Newark, NJ. and will also be receiving the "2017 Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Community Service Award" from the Love You Girl foundation on Saturday, September 30, 2017, Noon - 4pm at the Loft at SOPAC (South Orange Performing Arts Center).  

Angelina is an 8 year, Stage 3 breast cancer survivor.  She and her husband, Hakim Sims, have lived in Montclair for over 25 years with their two daughters, Melanie and Najla, who were both educated through the Montclair Public School system.

AAngelsNJ serves and provides resources to underserved, underinsured and uninsured individuals and families. We are committed to educating, navigating and providing education, information and resources for all aspects of Breast Health.  Our services begin from pre-diagnosis through survivorship and include the following, free of charge. (provided by AAngelsNJ or attained by other agencies) •Individual and/or Family Counseling •Free or low-cost mammograms •Educational materials/Seminars •Informational programs •Self-exam tutorials •Patient Navigation •Child Care (during appointments/treatments) •Transportation •Scholarship and/or limited financial assistance (if you qualify)
