EAST ORANGE, NJ - Last week we spoke to Nadine Wright-Arbubakrr to find out exactly what the agency was planning in April for National Autism Month. When we arrived for the interview, she was packing to travel to Miami for a fundraising event given by her stepson and members of the NBA.
This certainly is not the first time we’ve caught Nadine ‘on the go’ raising funds for her local charity. She was recently interviewed by WABC Here & Now with Sandra Bookman. She routinely attends events with Actress Holly Robinson-Peete who is also a mother of an autistic child. Her travels have taken her as far as California where she meet with a number of high profile Hollywood stars that gave their support to our local neighborhood charity.
The latest outpouring of support came from Nadine’s stepson, NBA Miami Heat center, Hassan Whiteside. Whiteside, a Newark native, who is working with Nadine to bring awareness to Autism through his organization, dedicated to his younger brother Nassan.
Nadine remarks about the event, “Haute Living, Ulysses Nardin and Nassan's Place partnered together for an Amazing night of great music, dinner, Autism Awareness, a silent and live auction and fundraiser at our "Autism Awareness Charity Dinner" at the beautiful Cipriani's Restaurant in downtown Miami.
I would like to "Thank" CEO of Haute Living, Kamal Hotchandani, and his incredible and amazing staff, Violet and Paige. "Thank You" to Ulysses Nardin and all the guest, donors, sponsors, friends and family who helped make this event a great success.
A very special "Thank You" to last night's honoree Sean Wolfington and his beautiful wife Ana for their continued support.
The night also included a phenomenal and touching performance by the talented and beautiful, Grammy award winner and Oscar nominated Siedah Garrett, truly an honor”.
