MONTCLAIR, NJ - The Township of Montclair will be participating in National Night Out on August 7 fro 5 to 8PM on South Park and Church Streets.
Hosted by the Montclair Police Department and community partners, National Night Out is an annual event that is recognized throughout the country as a way for members of the community to come out and spend a safe evening with emergency personnel from their community.
Both roadways will be closed for traffic to create a safe environment for all those that choose to come out.
Residents will be able to speak one on one with law enforcement officers and other public service personnel from the township. Children will also have an opportunity to explore the equipment their first responders utilize on a daily basis.
The Montclair Police Department, Montclair Fire Department, and Montclair Ambulance Unit will be on hand to speak with individuals and display their equipment. Additionally, numerous vendors, businesses, and organizations are participating in this community collaboration.
Safety brochures and other novelty items will also be available for all those interested.
Local shops and vendors are also invited to come out.
