MONTCLAIR, NJ - Montclair Firefighters responded to the scene of a vehicular fire on Elm Street Monday morning.

Sometime around 8:52a.m., the Montclair Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire on Elm St, Deputy Chief Robert Duncan confirmed. 

He said, "The Fire Department arrived to find a vehicle with its engine compartment fully engulfed in flames."

Initial units responded to the scene in enough time to quickly extinguish the fire. 

Fire officials state that the cause of the fire is undetermined, but it is not suspicious in nature.  According to Duncan, the vehicle sustained heavy fire damage.
