NUTLEY, NJ - A Powerball prize of $50,000 was sold at Heller & Heller, 200 Franklin Ave., Nutley.

New Jersey Lottery Chief Communications Officer Judith L. Drucker stated in a press release that there were three New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Wednesday, Jan. 11 drawing winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. One of those locations was sold in Nutley at Heller & Heller at 200 Franklin Ave.

As of Jan. 20 the $50,000 prize winner from the Nutley location has not come forward. The lucky person has one year to claim their ticket or forfeit the winnings.

“It’s great, if someone comes forward, good luck to them. Hope they gone to Trenton and cashed it,” said Harry Vaidya, owner of Heller & Heller.

“Right time and right place, they can always win it,” he added.

The release also states if those tickets had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, they would have been worth $100,000.

The other two winning tickets from the Jan. 11 drawing were sold at Burlington County: Wawa #919, 1076 Route 206, Bordentown and Ocean County: 7-Eleven #36783, 3101 Route 37, Toms River.

The winning numbers drawn for Wednesday, Jan. 11 were: 01, 03, 13, 16 and 43 and the red Powerball number was 24 with the multiplier option number 02.

In addition to the third-tier prize winning tickets sold, there were 21,812 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $114,638 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied,” she added.

The three stores that sold the winning tickets will receive a bonus along with the commission they already receive according to a press release from the New Jersey Lottery. “The retailer receives a 2.5 percent selling bonus,” stated Judith L. Drucker, chief communications officer.

The Powerball jackpot is now at $153,000,000 for the Saturday, Jan. 21 drawing to be held at 10:59 p.m. There are currently 44 states that participate in this game of chance and luck.
