MONTCLAIR, NJ - The intersection of Orange Road and Linden Avenue was shut down for several hours following a one-car crash Monday morning around 12:30a.m., according to reports.
The 29-year-old driver from Montclair sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mountainside hospital for treatment.
Lt. David O'Dowd of the Montclair Police Department confirmed the accident and said, that the driver complained of minor pain."
He stated that the vehicle struck the curb at Linden Avenue and then, "...struck a speed limit sign and then struck the utility pole."
The Orange Road northbound side at the Linden Avenue intersection was closed to traffic for several hours while PSE&G officials replaced the pole.
The accident is still under investigation.
