Shred Day in Montclair, May 6

MONTCLAIR, NJ - Because protecting your information is crucial, HOMECorp is once again hosting its bi-annual Shred Day on Saturday, May 6th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. 

This year HOMECorp is teaming up with the women of  Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omicron Xi Omega Chapter of Montclair.  Volunteers from the chapter will assist people with getting materials from their cars and into the professional shredding machine, and collecting donations.  

All documents and file folders will be accepted.  People are encouraged to shred old bank and credit card statements, old tax returns, and all unnecessary documents that may be a target for identity theft.  

Although there is no charge and you do not have to be a resident of Montclair to participate, there will be an opportunity to donate to HOMECorp.  The mission of HOMECorp is to provide safe and affordable housing for the township of Montclair.

Former Jefferson School Staffer Facing Criminal Charges For Alleged Lewd Photos of Students

Assembly Democratic Bill to Ensure Safety of Special Needs Students on School Buses Clears Assembly Panel 

June 21, 2018

TRENTON, NJ – Legislation sponsored by Assembly Democrats Daniel Benson, Valerie Vainieri Huttle, Reed Gusciora, Ralph Caputo and Andrew Zwicker to protect special needs students who ride school buses was released Monday by an Assembly panel. 

This bill (A-4332) would establish a minimum ratio of school bus aides to special needs students on a school bus.
