MONTCLAIR, NJ - Tuesday afternoon, a passerby noticed a portion of Glenridge Avenue had collapsed, leaving a round hole of about 20 inches in the road, and notified police officials. Upon further inspection, the hole was noted to drop down at least 10-15 feet into the brook below. 

Around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Montclair Police issued an alert informing the public that the section of Glenridge Avenue between Greenwood Avenue and Grove Street will be closed as a result of the sinkhole until further notice.

No injuries were reported.
