The Creativity Caravan Announces A New Exhibit 'The Women'

MONTCLAIR, NJ - The Creativity Caravan Announces A New Exhibit: The Women, featuring the photography of Sylvia Neupane.

Through the stirring photography of Sylvia Neupane, co-owner of Lemongrass Montclair, meet 12 women from Nepal. Sylvia’s images offer a window into life after the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, and tell stories of hope, gratitude, trust, surrender, and the capacity of these women to stay present in the face of struggle, to move as gracefully as possible on their journey to find peace and freedom from within.

We are all the same in our fears and suffering, in wanting happiness without struggle.

How do we find the strength to move forward in the midst of chaos and upheaval? How do we find hope when things fall apart? How do we trust and surrender when life’s joys seem to abandon us?

It is Sylvia’s hope that her photographs and the stories of these 12 women will transform you.

Sylvia Neupane was born in Poland. Her first memory from childhood is holding the world atlas in her hands at age 4 and looking at the white region of the Himalayas and the Tibetan plateau.

She made her first journey there at the age of nineteen.

The exhibit will open with a reception for the public to meet the artist on Friday January 12 from 6 - 8 PM. It is a free event. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will be on display through Wednesday January 31.
