The Montclair Public Library Foundation Announces Appointment of Two New Board Members

MONTCLAIR, NJ - Two new board members were recently appointed to serve on the Montclair Public Library Foundation
Board.

The new members come to the table with extensive experience in the financial and legal
worlds. Their enthusiasm for the library and connection to the community will further
strengthen the leadership of the foundation board.

“Each of our newly elected Board Members are distinguished, prominent leaders in their
respective fields and I look forward to their insights and contributions,” said Jennifer Bonnell,
MPL Foundation Board Chair.

Irena Goldstein is a Partner at Trenk, DiPasquale, Della Fera & Sodono, P.C.in New York and
West Orange, NJ. Ms. Goldstein’s primary specialty is bankruptcy law and has represented
debtors, creditors, statutory committees and other interested parties in mid-sized cases and in
in many of the largest chapter 11 cases in recent years. Previously she was a Partner at
Proskauer Rose LLP in New York.

She is a founding board member of The Academy for Teachers in New York City. The Academy
honors and supports great teachers by, among things, bringing powerful teachers with leading
experts for master classes.

She loves road cycling, her pets and is an avid reader (everything from mysteries to history
(particularly early American).

Wilfred Adkins brings to the Foundation 25-plus years of experience in the financial,
advertising, package goods and services businesses. He is co-founder of Oasis Capital and prior
to that role served as a senior officer at Commonwealth Associates, a middle market
investment bank.

He currently serves as President of the Montclair Public Library Board of Trustees and recently
stepped down as President of the Montclair Fund for Excellence.
