The meeting is sponsored by the Oranges and Maplewood unit of the NAACP.

Senator Thomas Kean's call to public service has been inspired from the proud heritage of the Kean family.  The grandson of former U.S. Representative Robert Winthrop Kean and the son of former Governor Thomas H. Kean Sr., the Senator is continuing a legacy of dedicated public service to New Jersey.

Senator Kean has answered the call to public service many times in his life, serving as both a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician, and now as a recognized leader in New Jersey’s State Senate.
