MONTCLAIR, NJ - Three new Montclair police officers were sworn in during a ceremony at the Montclair Municipal building on Thursday.

Montclair Police Chief David Sabagh congratulated the new officers, saying, "We welcome the three of you and congratulate you for going through the process and starting the journey."

Sabagh told the officers he was pleased that they are starting the journey of a 25-30-year carrer.

"This is a very unique and a great community," added Sabagh. 

Town Manager Tim Stafford greeted the crowd to offer congratulatory remarks. Dozens of supporters filled the council chambers to welcome the new officers. 

Matthew Dobrowoski said, "I'm excited. I'm looking forward to an exciting career with the Montclair Police Department. I'm here to serve the community."

Christian Dorsey said, "It's unreal. I guess it's true that dreams really do come true. I'm ready to help this community any way that I can and continue to make it a great community."

Tahron Green stated, "I'm proud to be a product of my environment and I'm looking forward to giving back to my community in a career that is honorable."

Green and Dorsey proudly added that they were products of the Montclair community.

Green humbly continued stating that he was pleased that Montclair Township is looking to hire residents. He added, "Montclair is back to hiring Montclair residents. It's been a long road, but I'm looking forward to getting started and contributing to the talented community of Montclair."
