Township of Montclair: PSE&G Gas Leak Drill to be Conducted, March 26

MONTCLAIR, NJ - The Township of Montclair has announced that PSE&G will be conducting a drill simulating a gas leak from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 26, in the area of 118 Gates Avenue.

They state the following: 

"The purpose of the drill is to practice a coordinated response with the police, fire and EMS departments.

PSE&G performs gas leak exercises periodically to test and enhance response protocols, coordination with other responders, and site logistics. This training allows PSE&G to increase public safety and prepare for worst case scenarios.

Should you see police, fire, EMS and. PSE&G activity in the vicinity of Gates Avenue on Monday, please remember THIS IS ONLY A DRILL."
