MONTCLAIR, NJ - Studio Players suffered significant damage to their facility during the flood last week that left parts of Montclair under water.    As a result, they are now asking for community groups to assist them in the cleanup effort.

They have issued the following statement:

As you may have seen already, Studio Players in Upper Montclair suffered massive damage to their facility in the flash floods that hit our area last weekend. In particular, their scene shop and furniture and prop collections were decimated. The mess left behind is staggering.

They have appealed to other theaters in the area to send out a call for helpers, which The Strollers is happy to do. If you can lend a hand, please do. No special skills needed. Wear old clothes, work gloves, and closed toed shoes for safety.

THEY MUST CLEAR THE DOWNSTAIRS AREA BY SUNDAY so the professional cleaning / flood restoration crew can access the space and start their work.
