Turkey Hill Recalls Dutch Chocolate Premium Ice Cream

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Attention all ice cream lovers. Turkey Hill Dairy is recalling 48 oz containers of Dutch Chocolate Premium Ice Cream because the packages may include almonds and eggs. The packages with a sell-by date of May 23, 2017 and a UPC code of 20735-42095, were sold at stores in 25 states, including New Jersey, said an announcement by the FDA

The FDA announced that the package contained Rocky Road Premium Ice Cream instead of Dutch Chocolate Premium Ice Cream. Consumers should be aware that the affected package  reads Dutch Chocolate Premium Ice Cream on the cup  but Rocky Road Premium Ice Cream on the lid.

The company had stated that they have not received any consumer illness complaints due to this recall. Only those consumers with food sensitivity or an allergy to these ingredients could have an issue with this product. 

Consumers who have purchased affected packages of Dutch Chocolate Premium Ice Cream - 48 oz. with the code date on May 23, 2017 can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or contact Turkey Hill Dairy at 1-800-MY-DAIRY(1-800-693-2479).
