SUMMIT, N.J. – Having just completed the Web.com Tour’s Rex Hospital Open in Raleigh, North Carolina on Sunday, Daniel Chopra of Sweden earned medalist honors as 79 golfers set out on a dreary, rainy Monday morning at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, New Jersey to play 36 holes of Sectional Qualifying, each all for a shot at a coveted spot in the upcoming 117th U.S. Open Championship at Erin Hills Country Club in Erin, Wisconsin on June 12-18.

Chopra, who collected his second check in three weeks on the Web.com Tour, fired a 4-under-par 66 on Canoe Brook’s South Course in the morning and came back in the afternoon with a sizzling 7-under 65 on the North Course to complete a 36-hole total of 11-under-par 66-65-131.
