Unity of Montclair Announces New Senior Minister Candidates

A Positive, Practical, Progressive Spiritual Community!

Unity of Montclair Board of Trustees and Ministerial Search Team, named “The Attraction Through Action (ATA) Team”, has announced its candidates to be considered as the New Senior Minister of Unity of Montclair.

Each candidate will lead a Sunday Service and conduct a Sunday Workshop.  All are invited to meet the following candidates:

  • Rev. Kathleen McKenna - Sunday, Jan. 22nd
  • Rev. Jill Andrews - Sunday, Feb. 5th
  • Rev. James Parker - Sunday, Feb. 19th

Unity of Montclair is awaiting confirmation of another potential candidate.

Each Sunday’s schedule includes:

  • 11am Sunday Service at The Montclair Women's Club, 82 Union St., Montclair, NJ
  • 30-minute Q&A Session with Candidate, immediately following the Sunday Service
  • Sunday Fellowship – Share in the food and joy
  • Workshop Conducted by Candidate at Unity of Montclair, 84 Orange Rd., Montclair, NJ at approximately 2pm

Unity of Montclair has been lead by Interim Senior Minister Rev. Steve Worthing after bidding farewell to Rev. Erin McCabe, now the Senior Minister of Unity Village Chapel located at Unity's Headquarters south of Kansas City, Missouri, at the end of August 2011.

Unity of Montclair is a spiritual community fostering a positive, practical and progressive philosophy. Though this is a Christian based spiritual community, members from all faiths are welcome.

Rev. Kathleen McKenna is currently on sabbatical, during which time she was an Interim Ministry Consultant for Unity West in Milwaukee. From 2000 – 2008, she was the Senior Minister at Unity Chapel of Light on Ohio. She is also a National Crisis Responder and Trainer.

Rev Jill Andrews is currently the Senior Minister at Unity Church and Spiritual Center of Syracuse and is an Adjunct Instructor at Unity Institute. She became a Unity minister in 2004 after serving as a Licensed Unity Teacher.

Rev. James Parker is currently the Senior Minister at Unity of Ann Arbor in Michigan and serves as an Alternate Judicatory for the Unity Worldwide Ministries Great Lakes Region. Previously, volunteered as a Minister and Executive Team member of Renaissance Unity in Michigan.
