DeCozen Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram has joined Verona’s Mayor and Council to present the Fair in the Square on Saturday, December 5th  from 12 noon to 5 pm (rain date: Sunday, December 6th) at Verona Civic Center Square – 600 Bloomfield Avenue.

Eight Hills Caterers, Verona-Cedar Grove Times and Verona UNICO, all long standing sponsors, return to celebrate Verona’s community spirit in the company of many social service organizations with welcoming displays and fun family activities. Verona Municipal Alliance, Verona High School Paws and Claws, Church of the Holy Spirit, Sustainable Verona as well as many others are registered to bring their special projects, sales and activities to share with the community.

It will be a special day to also meet a few new businesses from town at the Fair and shop for your holiday gift giving. Goddess in Eden will display and sell their crystals, candles and body products. If you are considering a special bike for that special person, Electric Spokes will have an array of bikes and skateboards.

Come hungry and support Verona’s local food merchants! Jack’s Café, The Thai Elephant, Subway and Verona UNICO's zeppoles will be in the food court. Special and new this year will be the Verona Essex Juniorettes selling mac and cheese…you’ll find them at the luminary kit sales. A must not to be missed… fill up your container of assorted cookies at the Methodist Church Cookie Walk.

The Fair goers will again be delighted with the Horse Drawn Wagon Ride and Petting Zoo co-sponsored by Eight Hills Caterers. Riders can board the wagon behind Town Hall and be treated to a free ride along Gould Street starting at 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There will be limited vehicular access to Gould Street during the festivities.

Fair attendees will be amused and entertained by scheduled performers, activities, and music. Verona UNICO continues its tradition to entertain the community’s young children with a bouncy house. The Verona Fire Department will delight the families with its special transportation of Santa to the Fair at 4:30 pm to assist in the lighting of the holiday tree.

The event coordinators encourage participation from vendors and organizations to perform, create crafts, play games, and sell holiday gift items. Participation and activities are still lining up, and many favorite vendors and organizations are returning with new surprises.

Crafters, businesses and organizations interested in having a table at the Fair in the Square will find the vendor/organization application on the Verona-Fair-in-the Square Facebook page, send email to admin@commercialdistricts.com or call Diana Vitrano at 973 857-1467 x15.
