Montclair Inn Receives $100,000 Grant for Renovation Project

MONTCLAIR, NJ - The Montclair Inn is the recipient of a $100,000 grant from Partners for Health Foundation for their Bathroom Renovation Project, officials announced on Friday.

In an effort to upgrade the building which is located at 27 Hillside Avenue, the non-profit is renovating three of the eight bathrooms that are shared by 19 residents at the Inn. 

According to executive director Joy Kay "The bathrooms have not been renovated since the early 1990s.  We want to make sure that our residents are safe in all shared spaces in the house, especially in the bathrooms where it is common for the elderly to slip and fall.  We are grateful to Partners for Health Foundation for investing in our vision for a safer environment for our seniors"  The residents at the Inn have private bedrooms and share the 8 bathrooms.

 The Bathroom Renovation Project is funded by a grant from the Partners for Health Foundation, whose vision is to make our communities  healthier, better places to live.

Montclair Shared Housing Association owns and operates The Montclair Inn.  The Montclair Inn is a non-profit residence  that provides affordable and comfortable housing for seniors in the heart of Montclair, NJ.
