Highland Regiment, a class-A, competitive marching drum corps inspired by the traditions of the Scottish Highlands will host its first rehearsal of the season, Saturday Jan. 12, 2019 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Reading-Fleming Intermediate School located at 50 Court St. in Flemington, NJ.
Performers of all ages and experience levels are welcome and encouraged to attend! Guard members and dancers will meet for the first rehearsal in January and start spring training in May. In addition to the first rehearsal in January, the brass and percussion members meet one weekend, Saturday and Sunday, each month during the winter and spring. These early season meetings are dedicated to rehearsals that familiarize members with uniform playing techniques and the musical score. Spring training, starting in May, consists of three weekend rehearsals each month that continue through Labor Day and the national championships. Highland Regiment, a private and non-profit organization, cultivates the perfect environment for those wishing to create long-lasting friendships as well as strengthen musical abilities, self-confidence, and performing skills all with a wee bit of fun and flair.
