Jackie Cornell, Principal Deputy Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Health, will outline the Murphy Administration's plans to improve health care delivery and access in the state. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.

Ms. Cornell will present an ambitious agenda that includes

  • getting all children in the state insured;
  • improving maternal health, birth outcomes, and access to family planning;
  • addressing the opioid crisis and improving access to mental health and addiction treatment;
  • protecting and strengthening the individual market for health insurance; and
  • protecting insured New Jersey patients from "surprise billing" by out-of-network healthcare providers at in-network hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
