Mind Body Spirit Breakfast

Enjoy a morning of good food and inspiration at Link’s 4th Annual Mind Body Spirit Breakfast, an event designed to educate, celebrate, and empower women. The event includes a healthy breakfast followed by speakers and interactive wellness workshops to encourage female attendees to nurture their own “minds, bodies and spirits.” Guests also provide positive role model experiences for the next generation of women -  Link’s young female scholars – who are invited to attend. Proceeds from this event, hosted by Link Women's Committee of Link Education Partners, Inc.,  provide enrichment programming at Link Community Charter School.

At this year’s event, hear keynote speaker Lockey Maisonneuve, author of A Girl Raised by Wolves, tell her story of resiliency through adversity – overcoming life with neglectful alcoholic parents, being sold into sex trafficking by her father, and surviving breast cancer and her mother’s murder.

Guests will engage in three workshops. Dawn Fitch, the CEO of Pooka Pure and Simple, a natural bath and body products company, has been featured on the Today Show, graced the cover of Black Enterprise Magazine, and received a top 20 Beauty Brand status by Essence Magazine. In this workshop, guests will learn a hands-on approach to her philosophy of natural healing and holistic lifestyles and will create their very own bath product.

Learn about the health benefits of chocolate from award-winning artisanal chocolatier and mom-entrepreneur Federica Heiman. She will take our guests on chocolate’s journey from cacao to consumer and provide a sampling of various qualities and varieties of chocolate from Dolce Federica.

Milly Reed, certified Feng Shui professional and health &wellness mentor will introduce the basic tenets of Feng Shui and show how to use its primary tool, the Bagua, in home and work environments to accomplish goals and increase happiness.

Tickets: $50 until 3/21; $65 after that date. Purchase at www.linkmbsbreakfast.org.
