Online Workshop: Self-Publishing 101

An extensive workshop on what writers and non-writers need to know to successfully take their book projects from an idea to a finished book.

In this workshop, self-published author, Jeffrey J. Antonucci, will take participants through the entire self-publishing process. Author Antonucci will share his self-publishing story and provide practical advice on how to navigate this publishing path based on his experience writing his novel Deep Within a Blueberry Sky.

Freelance publishing professional Lindsey N. Mach will also offer insight into the options for the self-publishing process, strategies for how writers can build an author platform, and marketing and publicity tips for self-published authors.

This workshop is intended for writers of all experience levels and genres and will include time for Q&A.

Succeed2gether’s fourth annual Montclair Literary Festival was scheduled for March 25 to 29, 2020. Due to the current health crisis, Festival Day is now taking place online on September 12 and 13, 2020, with publishing workshops also planned for September 14, 15 and 16. The festival is a fundraiser for Montclair-based non-profit Succeed2gether, which offers after-school one-on-one tutoring and enrichment classes with the aim of closing the education opportunity gap in Essex County.

Each year the Cedar Grove Historical Society holds a Pumpkin and Apple Sale in honor of Edith Morgan and her son Courtenay Morgan.  In the fall of each year the Morgans sold pumpkins and apples in the front of the Morgan farmhouse.  Mrs. Morgan passed away in 1961, but Courtenay, the last farmer in Cedar Grove, continued the tradition until his death in 1985 at the age of 86.
