Saturday Storytime with author Michael Rex "Fact vs Opinion vs Robots" "Eat Pete"

Join Michael Rex, author and illustrator of over 40 books for children, on Saturday June 13 at 10am for Succeed2gether and the Montclair Literary Festival’s first Storytime Saturday via Zoom. Suitable for children ages 4 to 8. Registration required. https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYrfuqhrTkuGte4BJAz5csnT6IjNA62XWHN

Mike will read his recently released picture book Fact vs. Opinion vs Robots, in which he uses humor to introduce young readers to the very important distinction between facts and opinions, and he reminds us that it is nice to listen to one another's opinions, and to stand up for the facts.

Mike will also read Eat Pete, a laugh-out-loud story of friendship and a play date Pete has with the monster that shows up in his bedroom.

After the readings, Mike will show how to draw his characters. He hopes children will share their drawings with him during and after the event. Children will need three pieces of 8.5 x 11 paper and something to draw with, eg pencil, crayons, etc.

Mike has written and illustrated over 40 books for children including the #1 bestseller Goodnight Goon. His popular sword-swinging Fangbone! graphic novels have been turned into an animated show that airs on Disney XD and Netflix in the US as well as in many other markets worldwide.
