Strategies for Managing Menopause, Monday November 18, 7pm, Livingston Public Library


Menopause is a natural biological process that women go through beginning  in the late 40s or early 50s.

In this presentation at the Livingston Public Library on the evening of November 18th, by Dr. Soma Mandal of Summit Medical Group, the audience will learn about menopause, including common symptoms such as hot flashes, sleeplessness, weight gain and physiologic changes, such as bone loss and cardiovascular risks.  Dr. Mandal will also discuss treatment and management options to help one navigate this important life transition.

A board certified internist, Dr. Mandal treats both men and women. She specializes in women’s health, preventative medicine, psychosocial aspects of medicine, and internal medicine. She has been selected by her peers to Castle Connolly Top Docs New York Metro Area, Inside Jersey Top Docs, Inside Jersey Top Docs for Women's Health and Millburn- Short Hills Super Doctors.

Dr. Mandal’s new book entitled “ Menopause: I do not fear you” is releasing in August; she is also hosting a new health talk show on ITV Gold.
