MONTCLAIR, NJ - Local teen, Amelia Brubaker will debut her solo career at Trend Coffee and Tea House on September 13 at 7:30pm.
According to a release, Brubaker has an eclectic musical palette, which she has developed since birth. With her velvety soprano voice, she recreates songs that have become the part of the soundtrack of many people’s lives, young and old.
Brubaker can shift gears from classic rock to indie alternative to time-honored standards, in the same set and fluidly connects the dots between Laura Nyro to The Smiths to Amy Winehouse, to make for an experience only Brubaker can deliver.
Brubaker is no stranger to performing, this Montclair High School teen has previously performed in Gaslamp Players’ productions, including Les Miserables and the musical showcase, It’s a Revolution.
She is also an accomplished dancer and improv comedian, who has performed with the Junior Performance Workshop Ensemble at The Sharon Miller Academy of the Performing Arts.
Currently, Brubaker sings with the Montclair High School honors choir and is in rehearsals for The Tap Dance Kid directed by the original Tap Dance Kid, Savion Glover. The show is scheduled for September 14 and 15 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.
