North Essex Chamber of Commerce Celebrates 50th Anniversary
A long history of helping the business community through leadership, education and service.
September 10, 2019, Montclair, NJ. The North Essex Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the North Essex Chamber. The Chamber is dedicated to the economic and civic well-being of the business community through leadership, education and service. It exists to ensure that businesses grow and prosper in the community, while supporting the community in return.
Through the years, the North Essex Chamber has helped local businesses succeed and has recognized numerous business leaders in the area. Since its inception 50 years ago, the Chamber has accomplished its mission through monthly luncheons and breakfasts, annual President’s banquets, holiday celebrations, training workshops, golf outings, ribbon cuttings, annual Taste of Essex culinary events, and teamed up with nonprofit organizations. They have partnered with other local Chambers to enable members to meet with municipal, county and state officials to stay informed about economic and legislative issues that may impact their businesses.
The North Essex Chamber Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Chamber that serves to engage with non-profit, education and community initiatives. Every year the Foundation strengthens our local communities by working with non-profits, schools and other organizations. Major events such as The Taste of Essex are used to raise funds for non-profit members and Foundation initiatives.
“We are proud to be marking our 50th year. There are few organizations that have that longevity,” shared Michael V. Daniels, President of the North Essex Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to celebrating our success and recognizing the support and compassion that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society provide to people in our own community.”
To celebrate 50 years of the Chamber, a gala will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 6-10 pm at The Manor, West Orange, NJ. Proceeds will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
