MONTCLAIR, NJ - NJ Transit officials have confirmed that a 15-year-old male teen was taken to the hospital after being hit by a train Wednesday morning.
The teen was struck at the Jerome Place crossing around 12:30 a.m., officials confirm, and was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson. His condition is unknown.
NJ Transit train 6299, was traveling along the Montclair Boonton line toward Montclair State University at the time of incident. There were no other reported injuries.
