LITTLE FALLS, NJ - Owners of The Fine Grind announced on Tuesday the temporary closing of their Little Falls location due to "financial hardships," according to posts made on the cafe's Facebook page, Instagram and website.
“The Fine Grind is very important to us and we are going to try to find a way to reopen as soon as we can,” the post said. The owners, Jon and Rhonda Mallek, apologized to their customers for the closing its doors and ensured that they will try to reopen soon.
Twelve years ago, The Fine Grind first opened in Little Falls providing customers with organic and quality coffee and baked goods, while also providing a platform for local artists, musicians and upstart businesses.
According to its website, the coffee shop “has become the place for the community to gather and take part in all that we provide which goes well beyond great coffee and food. In their announcement, the owners ask their customers to please continue to support them by visiting their Wayne location. Also in their post, they announced starting a GoFundMe page for support to reopen.
