Morris County Republican Committee Chair Ron DeFilippis Honored for Role as ELEC Chair

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - On Tuesday, September 26th former ELEC (NJ Election Law Enforcement Commission) Chair Ron DeFilippis received multiple proclamations in recognition of his long time and honorable service as ELEC Chair. 

Governor Chris Christie states in his proclamation "As the longest serving Chairman in history, you have been a role model for public servants across the State by displaying dignity, integrity and fairness in all aspects of your work, and have set a standard of professionalism that will be difficult to parallel."

In addition to the proclamation given by the Governor, a Joint Legislative Resolution one was also given by the NJ State Senate amd General Assembly. This joint resolution saluted and commended Mr. DeFilippis as a highly esteemed member of the Garden State community and acknowledged his uncommon measure of public-spiritedness that has provided a standard of excellence in public service toward which others might strive.

It was a happy celebration where the current Chair of ELEC Eric Jaso, an attorney from Morristown, presented Mr. DeFilippis with a proclamation from ELEC that also declared him as the longest serving Chair in the Commission's history and proclaimed his honorable and steadfast service that demonstrated integrity, leadership and common sense. It also mentioned his significant analytical skills to the task of understanding the complex issues of campaign finance.

Joining in the event was Mr. DeFilippis' wife Patti; the current Chair of ELEC Eric Jaso; ELEC's Executive director Jeff Brindle; and fellow ELEC Commissioners Marguerite Simon and Stephan Holden, both who are retired judges.

Mr. DeFilippis currently serves as the Chair of the Morris County Republican Committee's Finance Committee.
