MONTCLAIR, NJ - Montclair Police officials are on the lookout for a man who is suspected of robbing the CVS on Claremont Avenue on Wednesday.

According to reports, a man demanded money from a cashier at the CVS store on Claremont Avenue around 1:51am.

He approached the checkout counter wearing a jacket with the hood up and several items from the store.

"As the cashier was ringing up his purchase, he handed her a note which demanded money and stated that he was in possession of a gun," Det./Lt. David O'Dowd, of the Montclair Police Department, stated.

$40 from the register was given to the man, who then fled the scene with the merchandise, cash and note, he added.

Police described the robbery suspect as a white male between 25 to 40-years-old between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches, wearing a jacket with the hood up.

 No injuries were reported. This incident is currently under investigation.
