MONTCLAIR, NJ -  The following blotter was compiled by the Montclair Police department on 10-8-19:

Burglary
October 2, 2019 (Bloomfield Avenue): The complainant states that sometime
between 10:00 PM om October 1st and approximately 10:25 AM, someone entered
Roberto’s Pizza and stole approximately $150 in miscellaneous food items and
$100 in change.

October 4, 2019 (Godfrey Road): The complainant states that $800 was stolen
from the front foyer to the residence.

October 5, 2019 (Claremont Avenue): The complainant reports that a red Schwinn
Homegrown hard-tail mountain bike, valued at $1400, was stolen from a storage
unit in her apartment building.

Thefts
October 2, 2019 (Elm Street): The complainant states that on September 30th, a
package containing shoes valued at approximately $45 was stolen from outside her
residence.

October 2, 2019 (William Street): Complainant states that a package containing
$500 in clothing was stolen from her porch at approximately 3:00 PM. The suspect
is described as a black or Hispanic male, approximately 5’7”, medium build,
approximately 55 years old, last seen wearing an orange t-shirt, an orange baseball
cap, and blue denim jeans.

October 5, 2019 (Watchung Avenue/ Watchung Plaza): Complainant reports that
between 6:50 AM and 7:58 PM, her bicycle, which had been chained and locked

had been stolen. The bicycle is described as a light-gray “Specialized Hard Rock”
men’s adult mountain bike, valued at $500.

October 7, 2019 (Valley Road): The complainant reports that his bicycle, a
charcoal-colored Giant Escape 3S mountain bike, valued at approximately $385,
had been stolen from the area of his property’s garage on October 2, 2019 at
approximately 1:00 PM. The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male,

5’6”-5’7”, 150-160 lbs., and last seen wearing gray sweatpants and an orange t-
shirt with white lettering.

October 7, 2019 (Woodland Avenue/ Willowdale Avenue): The complainant
reports that a rock was thrown through the window of her Toyota Rav4, with her
purse stolen from the front seat.

Vandalism

October 5, 2019 (Glenridge Avenue): the complainant reports that a black 2018
Honda Civic was damaged with a key sometime over the last several weeks.

October 6, 2019 (Erwin Park Road): the complainant reported the discovery of an
anarchy symbol written in red and blue spray paint on the east side of the Erwin
Park Road creek bridge.

Arrests

October 1, 2019 (Glenridge Avenue/ Baldwin Street): Marylou Torsiello, 66, of
Bloomfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated.

October 2, 2019 (Upper Mountain Avenue): Steven Miedema, 39, of Little Falls,
was charged with driving while intoxicated.

October 7, 2019 (Midland Avenue): Leonard Pullins, 52, of Elizabeth was charged
with two counts of theft, possession of burglary tools, and resisting arrest after a
brief pursuit that concluded on Park Street. It was reported that Pullins stole two
bicycles after cutting their locks. He was found to be in possession of a bag
containing bolt cutters.
