MONTCLAIR, NJ - Montclair Police shut down the upper part of Bloomfield Avenue near the vicinity of Montclair Kimberley Academy on Wednesday morning due to a pedestrian fatality, reports say.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is currently investigating the accident, in which, an adult male was struck and killed, law enforcement officials confirm. 

ECPO spokesperson, Katherine Cater stated, "We are investigating the incident. Everyone involved stayed at the scene."

The identity of the victim has not yet been released. More information will be released as it becomes available.
