MONTCLAIR, NJ - A 57-year-old West Orange woman was hit by a motor vehicle as she crossed the street near the intersection of Bloomfield Ave. and North Mountain Ave. on Sunday.

At 12:55 PM, Montclair Police responded to the intersection on report that the driver, a 58 year old female from Montclair, was making a left hand turn from North Mountain Avenue onto Bloomfield Avenue when she struck a pedestrian crossing the intersection southbound.  

Sgt. Terrence Turner of the Montclair Police Department stated, "The pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was transported to Saint Joseph's Hospital by Montclair Ambulance Unit."

He added, "The driver remained on scene and was issued a summons for Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian."
