7-11 Clerk Involved in Store Robbery, Montville Police Report

MONTVILLE, NJ - The Montville Township Police Department responded to the report of a robbery at the 7-11 on Changebridge Road on Monday, Oct. 2, according to police captain Andrew Caggiano.

Caggiano said the store clerk gave money to a man who "had his hand in his coat pocket pointing an object what the clerk believed to be a handgun." The man then fled the store.

After an investigation into the robbery, 19 year old Daivon Clark of East Orange, NJ and 19 year old Dimarco Lopez of Bloomfield, NJ were arrested. Det. William Vanderhoof and Det. Eric Brauchle conducted interviews and reviewed security footage from the business, resulting in identifying Clark and Lopez, police chief Rudy Appelmann reported.

Appelmann said that Clark was the 7-11 store clerk that evening and he planned the robbery with Lopez.

"The two men planned that Mr. Lopez would enter the store, demand the money, and the clerk, Mr. Clark, would turn over all the cash," Appelmann reported. "Mr. Clark gave Mr. Lopez time to flee the business before he called the Montville Township Police to report a robbery."

During the course of the investigation, Appelmann said the police determined that both men were involved in another theft of cash at the 7-11 on Sept. 28, 2017.

Clark was charged with theft, conspiracy to commit theft and false police report and Lopez was charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft. Both men were served with a summons and released.

Randolph Cop Turns Roxbury Garage into Ninja Zone

October 15, 2017

ROXBURY, NJ – Chris Carbonaro’s detached garage, on a quiet Ledgewood street, looks about the same as many others in Roxbury; beige walls and two white doors.

The only clue about its true nature are two small, brown placards - one on each door - that say “Ninjas Only.”

That message could be mistaken for a joke or an indication Carbonaro, a Randolph police officer, ...
