MONTVILLE, NJ – The Montville Mustangs junior varsity baseball team defeated the Indian Hills Braves in the Tri-Conference JV Invitational Tournament on May 23 at Paramus High School.

The Mustangs battled back against the Oakland, NJ team in the bottom of the 7th inning to win 5-4. This was the third consecutive win for the JV team led by Coach Brian Keltner, according to team parent Sue Behrens.

The game was almost lost because although the Mustangs were up 4-2, Indian Hills tied it up in the top of the 7th, she said. Kristof Behrens was on 3rd with two outs when Nick Santos had a base hit which brought Behrens in for the win.
