BOONTON, NJ - A&P and Pathmark on Monday released the list of New Jersey stores that would be closing in the wake of their parent company filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The A&P market on Myrtle Avenue in Boonton is not on the list and will remain open.

Two A&P stores and eight Pathmark stores in New Jersey will close, according to a release on the company website apteanotice.com.

The company website states, "The vast majority of our stores are operating normally and will be fully stocked. While some stores will close in the near-term, the vast majority will continue providing customers with the same high-quality products and exceptional customer service. Serving our customers will continue to be our #1 priority."
