MONTVILLE, NJ - The Montville Township Police announced that on Aug. 9, at 4 p.m., they responded to a residence on Taylortown Road to investigate a burglary.

"The suspect(s) entered into the residence and went through various rooms in the home, while the homeowners were not at home," Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said. "The time frame of the burglary was July 30, 2020 to August 9, 2020. The suspect(s) took various items from the residence."

The Montville Twp. Police Department is asking if anyone has information regarding this crime to contact the police department’s Detective Bureau at 973-257-4300. Also, Caggiano reminded residents to "please report any suspicious activity in your neighborhoods."

Caggiano further indicated that this was the fifth residential burglary for 2020, while the Township experienced four residential burglaries in the same time frame in 2019.
