MONTVILLE, NJ - A resident of Rachel Terrace in Pine Brook reported two females walking around and looking into vehicles in the complex on Sunday, Oct. 4. According to Montville Township Police Chief Rudy Appelmann, the resident was able to provide a description of the females.
Patrolman Anthony Condurso and Ptl. Daniel Saldutti responded to the area and located the females, who each had numerous bags, Appelmann reported.
An investigation was conducted resulting in the arrests of 25 year old Amanda Malphurs of Clark Summit, PA and 21 year old Justine Szabo of Whippany, NJ.
Appelmann further reported that both Malphurs and Szabo were charged with Third Degree Burglary to a motor vehicle, Third Degree Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Disorderly Persons Theft. Bail was set at $5,000 each and both were transported to the Morris County Jail.
Upon further investigation by the Detective Bureau, Malphurs and Szabo were each charged with three additional counts of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Theft, according to Appelmann.
