With a sole focus on creating a better hospital experience for future patients, Lee and Patricia Cahill have done just that through a promise they made three years ago. Because of the care Patricia received from the staff at Chilton Medical Center when she was hospitalized back in 2014, the Pompton Plains couple kept their promise with the hope that their donation would benefit someone else. Since then, they have donated medical equipment as well as funded an array of Chilton projects including most recently, six rolling bedside cribs and a warmer for the Special Care Nursery in Chilton’s Maternity Center.

“Philanthropy is about much more than writing checks. It’s about getting involved – and staying involved – in your community, in your hospital, in the causes that are important to you,” stated Lee. “Our relationship with the Chilton Foundation and the Maternity Center has provided my wife and I with a deeper understanding of the challenges faced daily by the dedicated staff who work there and the urgent need they have for specialized equipment.”
