MONTVILLE, NJ – Dr. Seuss was on the loose at the Montville Township Public Library on March 1 as about 100 kids and their parents gathered for a carnival in his honor.

Kids played “hat stack,” “Cat in the Hat ping pong toss,” toss across, and other Seuss-themed games, earning tickets towards trinket prizes. Kids from R.E.A.C.H. helped out. There was also spin art, “hop on pop” (bubble wrap jumping), and a fishing game. There were even Cat in the Hat treats.

Montville resident Kathleen Brandt brought her sons Louie, 7, Max, 5, and daughter Angelina, 2 for the second year in a row.

“The kids love Dr. Seuss,” she said. “They remember the carnival from last year, and they were geared up for it right after school.”
