New Jersey Horse Park Ready To Celebrate 30th Anniversary

The Horse Park of New Jersey will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year.

Looking back on 2017, the horses park successfully raised $60,000 for the Arena Development Campaign to improve footing in the show arenas.
The Gwen Stableford Winners Circle was completed to honor a long-time supporter of the Horse Park. Stableford, of Summit, N.J., died on June 16, 2014 at age 96. She was an avid horsewoman and international traveler, known for her financial acumen, which resulted in her serving as treasurer for the New Jersey Horse Council, American Saddlebred Horse Association of New Jersey and the Middlesex Horse Show for decades. She was named the 2007 "New Jersey Horseperson of the Year."

Other improvements include replacing aging Bradford Pear Trees with sugar maples. The gazebos next to the rings were repaired and painted by volunteers. Overgrown brush has been cleared. New fencing will be installed in the areas between the East and West rings. Stall panels will also be replaced and stall floors were improved.

The Jersey Fresh International 3-Day Event will be a World Equestrian Games qualifier when it returns May 9 to 13.

See www.horseparkofnewjersey.com for park information and to become a member. See http://www.jfi3d.com/ for more information on the Jersey Fresh International.
