MONTVILLE, NJ - On "Bronco Night" where the younger Montville girls travel basketball teams come out to support the high school players, the Montville girls varsity basketball team advanced its record to 13-2 with a win over Morris Hills on Thursday.

Montville played a strong defense throughout the game while outscoring Morris Hills in each quarter with an all around team effort. All 11 Lady Mustangs contributed to the final score of 52-21 with a total of 15 field goals, 5 3-pointers and 7 free throws.

The five starters Dani Campbell, Amanda Gorski, Jordan Strickland, Dani Vito and Emma Wax put up 37 points led by Strickland with 9 and Wax with 8. The remaining six Lady Mustangs Sarah Akrami, Lila Bortniker, Bridget Kelly, Maddie Morris, Livia Shine and Bella Vito each contributed at least 2 points and played strong defense with 6 steals.

Up next, 4-seeded Montville hosts Villa Walsh (13 seed) in the 1st round game of the Morris County Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 4 p.m.
