MORRIS COUNTY, NJ - The Morris County Prosecutor's Office has released images of the suspect in relation to two armed robberies that occurred on Jan. 10.

The assailant is described as a black male, thin build, approximately 20- to-25 years old, carrying a black handgun. He was wearing black pants, a black and white top, grey hoodie sweatshirt, gloves and a ski mask, according to authorities.

The armed robberies occurred at the Exxon Gas Station in East Hanover and the 7-11 store in Randolph, said police.

According to authorities, at approximately 12:13 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the Exxon Gas Station, located on Route 10 East in East Hanover, on a report of an armed robbery. The gas station clerk reported that while he was counting cash, a man entered the store carrying a handgun and demanded money. The clerk dropped the money on the ground, which was picked up by the man. The man left the store with the cash and fled on foot, said police.

At approximately 1:36 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 7-11 store, located on South Salem Street in Randolph, on a report of an armed robbery, stated authorities. The store clerk reported that he was working at the counter when a man entered the store, showed a black handgun, and demanded money. After the clerk provided cash to the man, the man left the store with the cash and fled on foot, they said.

Numerous law enforcement agencies are currently investigating this incident, including the East Hanover Police Department, the Randolph Police Department, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office – Major Crimes Unit, and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office.
