SPARTA, NJ – Under a bright blue sky the Montville Township High School girls soccer team fought hard but ultimately fell short against Sparta, 1-2, on Wednesday. Sparta played strong to the last whistle, pressing in the Montville side for much of the second half.

Vidovich had a busy game with 15 saves, while Sparta's keeper Julia Flake had four saves.
Sparta’s Captain Taylor Nolan said, “I thought we played really well, working as a team, with a lot of pressure up field. Montville is a really competitive team every year and especially this year with so many Juniors and Seniors.”
