CEDAR KNOLLS, NJ - Employment Horizons has been recognized as one of New Jersey’s Top Manufacturers of the year by The New Jersey Manufacturers Extension Program (NJMEP) and also received recognition as a New Jersey Smart Workplace (NJSW) by TransOptions.

Employment Horizons made the NJBIZ list of the top 25 manufacturers, ranking as number 20, based upon number of employees. Earlier this year, Employment Horizons secured a Federal North American Industry Classification Code (NAIC), recognizing their ability to perform labeling and packaging services.   Such codes assist companies in locating providers of specific services.

“We are pleased to be included in the NJBIZ list among other top manufacturers. The NJMEP has been an outstanding partner in assisting Employment Horizons in marketing our capabilities” said Matthew Putts, Executive Director at Employment Horizons.  “We have always known that we are an exceptional resource for companies here in New Jersey and around the world. It is humbling to be recognized among other leaders in the New Jersey manufacturing industry.”

One of 54 employers receiving the 2016 New Jersey Smart Workplace (NJSW) recognition, the New Jersey Smart Workplace awards pay tribute to employers that emphasize the importance of alternative and sustainable transportation options for their employees.  Employment Horizons was recognized as a Silver Level Awardee for its dedication to ensuring transportation options for both staff and program participants with disabilities. Telework opportunities for staff, a subsidized commuter van for contract workers at Picatinny Arsenal, and finding creative public and private transportation solutions for individuals with disabilities to get to work led to Employment Horizons’ recognition as a Smart Workplace by TransOptions.

Employment Horizons is the premier not-for-profit agency providing comprehensive employment, training and job placement services to persons with disabilities and other disadvantages in the greater Morris County, NJ area.
